Do you think they age of consent in the UK, should be raised from 16 to 18?

Cause thinking about it, it is a little young.
This age threshold also means that if a person is over 16 and sleeps with someone under 16 they can be charged with statutory rape.

When I was 16 I thought that was a good standard but now I'm like 39 I think 16 is a little young.

Yes. Think about it- an adult being able to sleep with a 16 year old is creepy.

There should be Romeo and Juliet laws though when the age is small enough- when my best mate was 18 he got his 16 year old girlfriend pregnant.

@BritishFailedAesthetic Did you get that off the Transformers movie with Mark Wahlberg? California passed a bill that allows a ten year gap, meaning a 14 year old can "consent" with a 24 year old. I know what the screenshot and article says, but defense attorneys will run with it...
