Personally, I never pray for souls. My understanding is that at the moment of death that’s it: whatever decision you’ve made you get what you asked for. A life with God or a life without. Of course everything is forgivable, but it has to be in the context of true repentance and accepting that you deserve the death that Jesus took for you. I know you’re not denying this, but earthly justice does need to be seen through. Murder is murder, no matter who the victim is and there is now at least one of the person who needs to seek forgiveness, because it doesn’t come automatically.
