Anyone supporting this can drop the act that they're fine with legal immigration.
smileylovesgaming · 31-35, F
@NerdyPotato but these people are in the country illegally
NerdyPotato · M
@smileylovesgaming no, they're not.
smileylovesgaming · 31-35, F
@NerdyPotato if they was here legal there would be no problem at all
NerdyPotato · M
@smileylovesgaming except for the fact they get arrested and deported before they get a chance to do what you expect them to do. And that's not just a problem, but a big one.
smileylovesgaming · 31-35, F
@NerdyPotato I heard so many stories of people being here over 20 year's illegally. They had plenty of time to get their citizenship
kodiac · 22-25, M
@NerdyPotato They are supposed to do what's expected BEFORE they come here .
NerdyPotato · M
@smileylovesgaming I understand and even agree a country has the right to kick out people who make no effort to follow the law. But that is not an excuse to arrest people who are going through the process of legal immigration before they can finish it, and that's what this post is about. If you support that, you just don't want any immigrants, illegal nor legal. It's as simple as that.
kodiac · 22-25, M
@NerdyPotato The people being arrested at courthouses are not there to immigrate legally they are there because they committed a crime . What part of they are supposed to apply for citizenship before they pour across the border don't you understand?
NerdyPotato · M
@kodiac there are different paths to citizenship. It is possible to apply while you're within the USA. And how do you know what all these people are there for? How does ICE know they're there illegally before their hearing about that?
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@NerdyPotato I think that act was dropped, when an entire segment of the population voted for the guy that killed a bill that was meant to empower the judicial branch to handle more cases. He killed he bill, by making a phone call, while he wasn't even in office... because without this immigration thing, Trump doesn't have much going for him.
kodiac · 22-25, M
@NerdyPotato How do you know what they are there for?
NerdyPotato · M
@kodiac that's none of my business. I just think it's safe to assume they haven't been convicted to deportation (yet) if they still have a court hearing for anything, because it makes no sense to hear them (again) if their fate is already final.
kodiac · 22-25, M
@NerdyPotato what if they are there for something like murdering a child but liberal judges would rather waste money on a trial then spend the next t 50 years paying to keep them in jail instead of handing them over to ice and sending them back to whatever hellhole they came from ? If they were cooperating with ice then ice wouldn't need to camp outside. If they are picked up at a courthouses then they had their day in court ,right?
NerdyPotato · M
@kodiac I don't do what ifs. Everyone on US soil has a constitutional right to due process. If you don't agree these people should have, then call your representatives to get the constitution changed. Until then, the deportation of people before their hearing is illegal and if you support that, you can stop pretending to care about law and order.
But before you start advocating to scrap that right, you may want to read my latest post.

kodiac · 22-25, M
@NerdyPotato No your wrong the constitution applies to legal citizens. It also says if you're here illegal you can be deported. The Supreme Court just backed that up . It's probably easy to ride your high horse when these things have no effect on your day to day life . It might look different if you had thousands of illegals rioting burning your flag ,stopping traffic and dragging innocent citizens out of their cars .Murdering children taking over appt complexes ,Meanwhile people like you sit in your little safe space and criticize People for saying enough is enough
NerdyPotato · M
@kodiac come on now, a Google search isn't that hard. 🙄
No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.
kodiac · 22-25, M
@NerdyPotato What the hell does that have to do with what i said? Nice deflection. I don't see any mention of people here illegally. What part of just walking across the border being a crime don’t you understand?
NerdyPotato · M
@kodiac do I really need to pull out to dictionary to explain what a person is? 🙄 And nice deflection on your part. Every accusation... What do you not understand about crossing the border legally on a temporary visum to apply for citizenship?
kodiac · 22-25, M
@NerdyPotato if you did it that way you wouldn't be deported. You claim they get no day in court ,also are you seriously saying 13 million people are here on a temporary visa? The people getting arrested at the court house are there because they committed crimes after they came here illegally. 13 million hell that's probably as many as your entire country. Do you have 13 million immigrants in your country.
NerdyPotato · M
@kodiac no, I'm not saying everyone here is on a temporary visum, nor that there are no people going to court who don't have the right paperwork to stay. The only thing I'm saying is that it is important to determine who is and who isn't illegal before deporting people. That is what those court appointments are for and what due process means. And by arresting and deporting people before their appointment and due process, that determination isn't awaited and people who do everything legally are deported together with the ones who don't.
