very basic training
used to teach/co-instruct hand to hand, self defense, active shooter response, etc. for a monthly class for a little while after I got out of Army until attendance got too low. Sheriff dept. and town PD were too full of themselves and too out of shape to get much benefit; state/fed park rangers were the only ones that demonstrated any competence & consistency

"U.S. police officers are not fully trained in martial arts while in a police academy. Police officers are instead trained in various Defensive Tactics to deal with different types of physical threats from uncooperative suspects and subdue them safely and lawfully.
However, many police officers do learn elements of martial arts such as Krav Maga, Judo, and Jiu-Jitsu to supplement their training. "

I know that police recruits go through all sorts of physical training, psychological evaluation and lessons in unarmed self-defense.
