If you were Quad Indicted’s legal team what would you do RIGHT NOW?

Court is recessed for lunch, then cross examination of Michael Cohen begins. It seems all of QI’s defense relies on discrediting Cohen.

But thus far, Cohen has done very well. He appears unshakable and QI actually has some decent lawyers for a change. However (and this is a HUGE BUT), his legal team is hamstrung by having to “play to their audience of one” and QI has put his campaign before his legal defense. If they can’t shake Cohen (and I bet they don’t) what possible tactics or strategy could his defense employ?

1. The entire defense team could fall victim to a nefarious scheme such as food poisoning. I know, I know—but look at the lengths QI and his heartless minions went to to try to steal/overturn the 2020 election. What’s a severe case of food poisoning among “friends” in the QI orbit?

2. Switch to a “Guilty” plea. Most likely based on QI’s mental/emotional incompetence—plenty of supporting evidence for that!

3. Throw himself on the mercy of the court—HA! Good luck with that!

Look for an exciting afternoon!

At least they kept him from testifying:, even though he totally wanted to: :

@SevIsPamprinYouAlways Ooooh yes. He totally wanted too. ;-) ;-) ;-)

But as usual...................he didn't. Boy that's a shocker, huh? ;-)

Whatever the strategy, Trump will disagree with his legal staff and not do as instructed.

But if I were his legal staff, I would explore changing the plea and see if you can get a non-prison sentence. Admit to the affair and the hush money but claim that it was done only to avoid personal embarrassment only and was unaware that it could be considered a campaign expenditure.

The other strategy is play for a hung jury using the above defense. I see almost zero chance he is acquitted here. It will either be a hung jury or guilty.

@trollslayer I doubt the hung jury, although Trump’s legal team seems to be pushing for that or a mistrial. Look for at least one more motions to dismiss today.

But any juror who was able to fool the panel would have to be pretty sharp and their sense of self respect would demand that they pay attention to the avalanche of evidence that is being craftily woven together in a highly believable dialog by the prosecution when the defense—at least so far—has given them nothing.

@trollslayer Quad Indicted has said time and again that he knows more about the law than lawyers and judges.

Get a clue cry baby: don’t pick a career federal prosecutor to lead your defense in a civil criminal trial.

Then again you’re capable of mucking up almost everything.

I'd be checking with my bank to make sure the most recent payment I'd gotten for my services cleared

@thisguy20 Especially if it’s signed with a Sharpie!

There will be one juror who says he is innocent, and justice will not be served, again. The only bad thing that is happening to T right now is all the lawyer fees he is paying, but he has a lot of suckers to pay those bills for him too, so he will likely come out of this unscathed, but with a long list of people to attack if he gets elected again.
The whole thing is such a gong show it is incredible to witness.
KunsanVeteran · 61-69, M
@JamesBugman You may be right and we’ll know soon. I expect him to be found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt simply because the only defense his legal team of “all the best” lawyers can come up with is “he never knew these women” (despite the abundant evidence to the contrary) and Michael Cohen is a “Trump hater”—no joke, Apricot Antichrist—he did time in prison for covering up your crime.

At the very least, this makes it abundantly clear just how QI treats his “friends” and just how devoted to the eternal loser the GQP has become.

Of course it doesn’t matter. If he’s found guilty he’ll spend the rest of his life appealing instead of serving it in the solitary confinement he has earned.
CYA, make sure theyre getting paid and do the best they can with trying to make a case for reasonable doubt to the jury by attacking Cohen as much as possible.
@KunsanVeteran

Didn’t they get a surety to guarantee at least part of their fees?

That's a different case.
KunsanVeteran · 61-69, M
@MistyCee Oh I thought it was Blanche and Necheles before they would represent him. So many law firms declined.
@KunsanVeteran That I hadn't heard, and it sounds pretty sketchy. Then again, its Trump, and there might be all kinds of odd stuff going on.
