i watch a lot of true crime:

dateline, 20/20, 48 hours...not ID.

but i have noticed..there is a narrative of black people often being the perpetrators of violent crime.

do you believe this is a deliberate narrative on the part of media, with the intent to divide?

or..do you think it is mostly representative..

orrr..do you think the stories are chosen solely on the intrigue of said stories?

I don't recall seeing any episodes of 20/20 or 48 hours, where the perpetrator was black.

@foldedunfolding OK, I looked into 20/20, the first 6 episodes of 2023:

1. AJ Armstrong - 16 year-old black kid, accused of killing his parents: Antonio Armstrong Sr. (former football player) and and Dawn Armstrong, He was acquitted twice. Story was selected because of the Football angle.

2. Horror in Idaho: The Student Murders - white victims, white suspect

3. What the Little Girl Saw: white suspect, white victim

4. New Year's Evil: white suspect, white victim

5. Kill or be killed: white suspect, female, white victim

6. The kill list: white guy accused of killing his white wife
