Do countries that implement the death penalty only do it to their own citizens?

Why did I ask this question?
We don't have the death penalty in our country and I want to know if I can get this sentence if I go to a country where this penalty is applied and commit a crime. Excuse my curiosity and sorry if I said something wrong, English is not my native language

Indonesia executed Australians Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran after they were found guilty of attempting to smuggle 8kg of Herion out of Indonesia in 2005.
They were executed in 2015.

@Gusman Yes this was the example i was thinking of when i made my reply.. But it was not sure if the execution was carried out in Singapore or Indonesia.. I think there has been a case in Malaysia too if my memory serves me right..
