A lot depends on the definition. In the US it is against the law to sell organs, as in for transplantation.
I remember the importance of dissection when I was a first year medical student, and the problem acquiring bodies. I have considered donating my body, but others feel that i am being bizarre.

@SStarfish they are fixed with formalin, the smell was awful, and my eyes would burn. One of my classmates would vomit occasionally. They were always carefully re-wrapped and enclosed in a plastic bag to keep them. At the end, they were all cremated in a way that befits a good person who died.
Oh i see.. yeah i knew an elderly lady that used to be in new york when she was younger and she mentions the unforgettable stench of the cadavers too.. but i guess a person has to learn somehow 😳 @samueltyler2

Legal, I'm pretty sure, but it depends on the source, I guess. I seem to remember reading years ago that India was the source for many human skeletons that were sold?
Oh 😳 @ChipmunkErnie
