Some people are so quick to generalize and demonize police

but they think it's so simple. Yes there are bad police but you cannot make assumptions about all of them.

Not every individual cop is a bad person, but the system is inherently oppressive, because it exists to punish, not deter, and to protect the property of the wealthy. It's also a top down hierarchy with a monopoly on the use of violence.

@basilfawlty89 The security industry also would arguably fall into that. Having worked in that industry you get told your job is to protect property, information, and people and largely in that order.
