I don't understand what the Kavanaugh guy did wrong?

The purpose of the God given Second Amendment is stop tyranny. Hence the MAGA mantra "Second Amendment solutions." Could one see the state forcing women to give birth as tyranny? And isn't it up to him to determine that? MAGA world thinks healthcare is tyranny, after all!

Further, aren't militias supposed to walk around baring arms? So, no problem there.

Also, until a shot is fired and enters the human no crime can be committed .

Finally, if the shooter felt threated, then shouldn't the cession of life (need to be careful, here) be celebrated as a just use of the God given Second Amendment?

I'm just asking questions. I could be wrong. I think we need an honest conversation about these issues in good faith.

Eh, I totally get where you're coming from, but I get the sense that killing a supreme court justice would cause more problems than it would solve. Conservatives and fascists have always been much more capable of extreme violence than any other American political faction. I tend to think that any violence enacted across party lines sets us on a downward slide towards a civil war that they would almost certainly win. Nazis thrive on this narrative that anyone who disagrees with them is a subverter and needs to be eliminated.

@BlueVeins I agree, but your last sentence keep the door open ajar. What the 6 MAGA justices are unleashing begs questions…

@Fukfacewillie The US is large and populous enough that a civil war could easily cause an amount of violence and bloodshed on par with World War I, with the knock-on effects possibly even rivalling World War II elsewhere. And that's even assuming that nobody ends up launching a nuke, which is no guarantee. All that, and even if we win, the kinds of governments that domestic civil wars give rise to are almost never civilized or free, regardless of the intentions. The Republicans can be very brutal, but let's keep things in perspective here...

@BlueVeins Of course! You’re young, so don’t understand how bad it’s become. I’ll take your lead. You’ll have to live with the consequences longer.

Conservatives would be celebrating anyone threatening any judge who isn't a Federalist Society crank.

Want action on military grade guns? Publish photos of children literally blown apart by these weapons. The outrage over this current slaughter will fade and more children will be killed.

Hypocrisy.

By that logic, I can think of a hell of a lot of people in government whom it is my right, nay, my civic duty, to shoot.

@LordShadowfire I'm personally against violence, but tyranny is in the eyes of the well-regulated militia, if I am not mistaken.

@Fukfacewillie I'm not a violent guy myself, but enemies of the constitution and all that.
