Is unequal justice really the biggest problem we face in this country?

@Thinkerbell Not at all true on conservatives vs liberals. I get nervous about getting too close to direct democracy anywhere.

Is it just because I live in a red state with a democratic governor? Again, I don't think it's just that.

Honestly, I think California has a lot of really wacky laws that I don't like, but i'd rather let them experiment with them over there.

I don't think the direct recall system in CA has worked badly; it doesn't happen often that a miscreant politician is removed even there.

I can honestly say though, that if shades of direct democracy vs republican/representative democracy was the only issue we're dealing with, I'd probably have left SW politics section a long time ago and either gone back to my EP\gender roots on here or just stopped posting entirely.

The thing is, imo, we need to have this discussion, and continue to to "fight" about it, because that's what's gotten us to where we are. We don't have the biggest teeth and can't run faster than gazelles. Instead, we developed brains and the ability to work together.

The recall issue is a great example. I'm not sold that a 51% recall measure whenever it's called for is the best solution, but I'm willing to listen, and even if we disagree, abide by the result, without resorting to violence, even if I think you "rigged" the election on the issue.

In the long run, even if I can't prove you rigged. It, and I lose, I can still try again the next time, as opposed to abandoning the process and surrendering the result to who has the most guns or, is willing to cause the most casualties.

Is there really no way to keep a red flag law from being "easily abused"?

If Government acts badly, should we just reject the idea and take the law into our own hands?

Or, maybe it's just liberal governments? Is it justified to rebel against liberal governments?

@MistyCee look how the libs went nuts with the coronavirus fiasco . Lib officials wanted to deny everything to those who didn’t buy into their vaccine scam. And they arrested people for trying to work.

It’s the fast track to a civil war and millions of dead.

The people have a right to revolt against tyranny.
