Due to the hundreds of thousands of state and federal laws, some of which conflict with each other, the average American breaks an average 100 laws a day without ever knowing it. For example, going the speed limit can be illegal in some states if everyone else is speeding and you fail to keep up with the average speed of traffic.

I am glad here there is no minimum speed limit unless you are on the interstate. But even there there is a speed limit and you can get a ticket for speeding. I live in Maine@Zaphod42

@Repete You misunderstand me I think. It’s a posted maximum speed limit, but some states. CA included, have the laws written such that if the posted maximum is 65 and that’s the speed you’re driving but everyone around you is doing 80, you can theoretically get a ticket for disrupting the flow of traffic.

I hear you , it’s posted here also on the interstates as minimum speed of like 50 mph but it is also posted as a maximum and because others are speeding is not an argument that would work in court here anyway.@Zaphod42

@Zaphod42 now that's interesting to me that the laws differ so much but so troublesome to the citizens

@Zaphod42 On flyovers r speed limit is 80, very rarely 60 and on express ways, it is 80 but everyone does 120-140.
