So someone called police asking for assistance on the interstate. When the deputy arrived, the people who called ambushed him, shot him, stole his squad car and ran over him. They then went to Missouri and carjacked a truck and shot the owner (he will live). They stole other cars and trucks before taking an 80 year old woman hostage.
They finally gave up. But why would anyone wanna do that? They killed a young cop, husband, and father for no reason. It's just so sad. I never thought it would happen around here.
Madness or just plain stupidity. Whatever the case, they’re obviously not thinking logically or else they never would have done any of those things, especially if they honestly believed there was a chance they could get away with it.
I think them giving up says a lot - they thought they could get away with it but then reality hit them hard and when it came down to them being on the life or death end of it, they decided this whole thing wasn’t worth dying over, so they surrendered. That shows they didn’t even put a whole lot of thought into this and what I said about madness or stupidity comes into play.
I can understand someone being clinically insane to where they can’t comprehend the consequences of their actions but I’ll never understand how people can make such drastic decisions with so little thought put into them, when they would know better if they simply thought a little more carefully. Such individuals truly deserve whatever comes to them.
You know what I'll never understand? Why the American public pays for the life time cell for these low lifes. You wanna see change? Take people like this, give them a trial by jury, and if convicted, you don't go to a cell. Instead, you go that day to a potters field where, they're tied to a pole directly behind their grave, then executed by firing squad. Drop 'em in, bury them. Case closed. Start doing that and you'll see crime start to wane.
