Okay so Tojo was a bad dude and was rightfully tried and convicted of war crimes. All as it should be.
But this... I'm assuming (hoping) he had novacaine or whatever was used at the time for pain. But even with that, there is some discomfort with dental drilling. If doing so to Morse Code added one second to the time it took to drill, then this was also a war crime.
We come across bad dudes all the time in this world. But taking revenge on them while they are in our custody is not who we are. It is against our laws and against international law. We are better than this.
