Which one is correct?

1. "How has money changed in the past 20 years?", this article is great.

or

2. "How has money changed in the past 20 years?," this article is great.

Please explain which one is correct and why

No idea

I'd go with:

The article, "How has money changed in the past 20 years? ", is great
Really · 80-89, M
1. The way I was taught, these are 2 sentences and should be separated by a period - not by a comma.

2. The way I was taught, the comma goes inside the quotation marks.

3. Nobody cares any more.

4. Finally I try not to care either. Punctuation should clarify. All else is unimportant.

5. So there :).

I would not put the comma within the quote as it is not a part of the title.

I would also probably use a semicolon or an em-dash instead of a comma here, though (depending on the rest of the sentence's structure; this is obviously not a complete sentence).

Neither

"How has money changed in the past 20 years?", is a great article
Though I’m not sure about the comma. My gut says it shouldn’t be there.

Neither is applicable because neither of the options the original poster inquired about are correct. My recommendation veers from the question to offer an alternative that still resembles their wording. My dilemma is that implicitly I recall the comma shouldn’t be there, but I can’t remember the actual rule @swirlie

The first one I think is more correct in the UK because it is convention there. The second one I think is more correct in the US because it is convention there.

Idk, they both seem wrong to me..

Ask the question before the quote
