Possibly an Americanism; I’ve heard it before. ”Guest” as a verb, I’m not as familiar with.
But the word that actually makes me angry is ”conversate”, popular among some kids. What a useless abbreviation !
"Converse” isn’t short enough ? 🙄

@bijouxbroussard My pet peeves among the kids; using too many words.
jumped scared - startled
low key something like low key love - midly or slightly
Among adults. I hate "socialize" as in my boss will "socialize" the new budget changes to the team. Tell. My boss will tell the budget changes.

@bijouxbroussard Same as 'burglarised' when burgled does the job sufficiently.

@BlobbyMcBlobface That’s definitely an Americanism, we add a "z" rather than an “s”, too. 😊

@bijouxbroussard Having now heard of 'conversate' for the first time, I'll probably hear it all the time and it will flip me over the edge 😬

@bijouxbroussard A zee instead of a zed 🤣

@JimboSaturn I’ve not yet heard "socialized” in that context. But I’ve been retired. It used to amuse me when “corporate-speak” would recycle words and change their meanings.

@bijouxbroussard Short enough... shorter, even!
