Sarcasm isn't sarcasm

Unless all parties listening understand it is sarcasm. Disguised sarcasm is called an insult.

Definition of sarcasm:

"using remarks that clearly mean the opposite of what you say, in order to hurt someone's feelings or to humorously criticize something.

"In essence, something becomes sarcastic when it's intentionally designed to convey the opposite of its literal meaning, relying on a combination of verbal cues, context, and shared understanding, which engages specific cognitive and brain processes in both the speaker and the listener."

This is why text is the worst vehicle for sarcasm.
