Do you ever accidentally mimic an accent you hear? Goerdie is a northern English accent. And whenever I hear it I unintentionally start speaking it

It’s probably because my Dads side of the family where Geordies before the military relocated him south where he met mum. But some people pick up accents that they have never encountered but it seems to sit well in their mind. How about you?

The Geordie accent is brilliant. My husband's friend is from down there and I could listen to him for hours. I can pick up a Scottish west coast accent nae problem, or English from Herefordshire - can't do any East Coast though.

@WintaTheAngle I always think so. Much prefer the Newcastle folk - and Northumbians in general - to most others.
