Do you ever accidentally mimic an accent you hear? Goerdie is a northern English accent. And whenever I hear it I unintentionally start speaking it

It’s probably because my Dads side of the family where Geordies before the military relocated him south where he met mum. But some people pick up accents that they have never encountered but it seems to sit well in their mind. How about you?

Yes actually, it was weird

I lived in the south of the US almost my whole life and never picked it up, but when I was playing xbox live with British people and there were no Americans, I started to sound legitimately British even though at the time I couldn't fake the accent half that well if I tried

Probably because I liked the sound better it was something I absorbed more
