What Would You Do?

What do you do if you learned English as your native language and not the language your family uses be it Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, etc.?

I remember being taught Spanish as a very small child but then learning English in school and not speaking Spanish anymore early in elementary school. While I know some Spanish enough to hold a conversation, my vocabulary and conjugation skills are lacking. I want to also learn other languages like German and Italian and Portuguese and French for when I travel someday. What do I do? What steps have you taken and think I should take in learning and relearning other languages besides English?

I learned English and Spanish at the same time. Both are my family's language. I forgot how to speak English at one point when I was sent to Costa Rica as a kid. Then i learned it again in kindergarten. I learned how to speak Portuguese with my Brazilian friends and doing capoeria. Apps like Duolingo helped me out alot. I learned Lucumí through family as well.
