What is so wrong about the right of a man woman or child being able to walk down the street without the worry if some whacko is about to shoot their face off?
Carazaa · F
@jackieash Yeah the right of a child to not be killed. The NRA post pictures of toddlers with guns. Sick!
Baremine · 70-79, C
@jackieash nothing is wrong with that. The problem is sin the solution is Jesus Christ. People get stabbed every day but I don't hear the media crying about registering knives, box cutters,swords, screwdrivers, etc. A gun is just a tool. Evil comes from the Devil. Peace comes from Jesus Christ.

@Baremine Not having stabbed or shot anyone, I wouldn't know, but having a heavyweight weapon like that that causes maximum carnage in seconds is going to create headlines. It would take more effort to stab more than one person at a time. I'm not goin g to get drawn into the reigious side of this, as a good number of religious people think that their god "wants" them them to have military type weapons. If he wanted to play soldier, why didn't he join the army?....ah, wait...the opposing army can fire back. 10 year olds can't.

@jackieash Jesus wants us to turn the other cheek. He is against weapons of all kinds. I am against weapons of all kinds.
jackieash · 26-30
@Carazaa I'm against weapons and against war.
Baremine · 70-79, C
@Carazaa better check the scripture. Jesus in the garden just before he was arrested ask the disciples how many weapons they had. The answer was two. His answer was it is enough. Defensive weapons met his approval.
Carazaa · F
@Baremine It is enough to pray he meant. He did not defend himself.
Baremine · 70-79, C
@Carazaa He didn't defend himself because His mission was to die on the cross to redeem mankind. The time will come when Jesus Christ will judge the world. Eternity in hell will be a lot worse than what we are talking about. Sadly I believe that roughly 90% of the world will reject Jesus Christ. The Bible is always referring to the remenent.
Carazaa · F
@Baremine
Yes I agree!
Carazaa · F
@Baremine I am surprised if there are more than 10 in each state and over 2000 in the entire world who really have bowed the knee to Jesus and take up their cross and follow him daily.
Baremine · 70-79, C
@Carazaa it is higher than that. The Bible always refers to a remenent. That is 10%. But yes the number is few. Mankind just doesn't accept that there is one way back to God and that is the blood of Jesus Christ. Pride gets in the way of mankind just as it did Lucifer. God says that he hates pride.
Personally I will take Jesus even though I am a failure, but I know that I am saved because the Holy Spirit convects me. The Grace of God knows no limits as long as we have faith in the finished work of Christ on the Cross.
Carazaa · F
@Baremine I don't believe so. Believing is not enough. WHat does God really mean, We have to be born again, and many say they know God but don't follow Jesus.
Baremine · 70-79, C
@Carazaa but how are you born again? By believing on Jesus Christ and that he died on the cross as our substitute and paid the penalty for our sins.
Carazaa · F
@Baremine Sure but I believe God saves us by his Grace and the evidence of that is faith. The evidence of his Grace is our actions. Many say they believe but their actions tell otherwise.
Baremine · 70-79, C
@Carazaa when I presented that earlier YOU said we are not to judge. I guess you do believe that by their actions, works, ye shall know them. It is not our place to condemn someone but by their actions we know whether we need to testify to them or encourage them as a brother or sister in the faith.
Carazaa · F
@Baremine
It is very obvious who is born again and who isn't by their actions.
"We shall know them by their fruit."

But Jesus said "whoever is without sin throw the first stone." So I don't tell anyone how they should live, I believe my job is to love people regardless of their sins especially if they aren't a christian and don't care about what God says. Because I think their salvation is more important than whatever sin they are partaking in. Jesus will forgive all their sins if they are born again, so my job is to love them to the Lord.

Now if someone is a christian and comes and asks me for advice and they are sinning, then I can tell them what God says and encourage them in the Lord to be obedient to him.

@Carazaa I think in general we are on the same page. But we are the salt of the earth. We are to call out sin. That is what John the Baptist lost his head over. Keep on shining the light❤️
