The First Joke I Ever Told A Female... I was in Junior High School and was on one of my very first dates, a dance at school. The girl was an absolutely gorgeous young woman one year my junior. Her mother and my mother were good friends and the mothers set us up.
It was hot in the dance, so we took a walk. We both soon ran out of things to say as young teens can so often do. So I decided to tell her a joke I had heard at a party my parents had had the weekend before.
"Why does a Honeymoon only last six days?" I asked her. She said "I don't know. Why?" I replied "Because seven days make the whole week." She dutifully laughed lightly.
Imagine my surprise when a week later I learn that she went home and asked her mother what the joke meant.
