Two Kiwi couples—Dave, Sarah, Mark, and Lisa—were having a few quiet drinks and playing 500 at the dining table one Friday night. At one point, Dave accidentally dropped a card from his hand on the floor. He ducked down under the table to grab it, and he couldn’t help but notice that Lisa had her feet kicked up, and was completely naked under her dress. Surprised, a flush faced Dave appeared from beneath the table. A bit later, Dave went out to the kitchen to grab another round of cold ones from the chilly bin. Lisa followed him out and whispered, "Notice anything interesting under the table earlier?" Dave smirked and surprised by her boldness, admitted that, well indeed he did. Lisa said, 'Well, you can have it but it will cost you $500.’ After taking a minute or two to assess the financial and moral costs of this offer, Dave confirms that he is interested.
Lisa told him that since Mark worked Friday afternoons and as he didn't, he should be at her house around 2 p.m. Friday afternoon. When Friday rolled around, Dave showed up at Mark's house at 2 p.m.sharp - and after paying Lisa the agreed sum of $500 - they went to the bedroom and closed their transaction, as agreed. Dave quickly dressed and left.
At 6:00 PM, Mark gets home from work, cracks a beer, and asks Lisa, "Hey, did Dave pop round this afternoon?" Lisa gets a bit nervous, wondering what to say and then, "Ah, yeah, he stopped by for a bit."
Mark looks at her. "Did he hand over $500?" Lisa, keeping a straight face, says, "Yeah... actually, he did."
Mark smiles, takes a sip of his beer, and says, "Good man. He popped into the workshop this morning to borrow five hundred bucks for some car parts, said he’d drop it off at the house on his way home."
