@Luke73 Until the restriction comes off, I am not allowed to engage in the back and forth the other posters are able to do. Pretty much everything I type has to be insightful and has to last.
I try not to overthink things, especially when they come from non thinking liberals. I try to take statements at face value. Keeping it simple means less stuff going over liberal heads, (since they are quite incapable of complex, nuanced thought.)_
Why would you think people hate lazy people?
(Yes, I originally got the joke. We're lazy. We don't do anything. So you can't hate us because we've done nothing to hate. It's a good joke.)
There are people who REALLY hate the lazy. Kinda the point of being mainstream conservative is the idea of a work ethic. At least that was the attitude when people like Rush LImbaugh took away the media's monopoly on public opinion. Conservatism back then was a bit more harsh: Get off your fat ass and get a job and get off welfare, bum.
Today, there is a little more moderation.
I'm thinking more along the lines these days of George Carlin who once said, (and I paraphrase) "show me someone who is sitting on the couch watching TV, eathing Cheetos and playing with himself and I'll show you someone who's not causing any fcking trouble."
I know it sounds cynical. But everything has gotten so EXTREME today that Rush Limbaugh could easily be labeled a Centrist by comparison.
