Woke up roasting at 2:30 a.m. It's 40F outside, and I had to open a window.

As usual, I blamed it on the neighbors. But just for sh!ts and giggles, I decided to check the heater in the living room. I had to move out the tv set, and my little portable light kept dying, but sure enough...the heater in the living room was on medium. I vaguely remember turning it on when temps went down to 22F, and I THOUGHT I turned it off again...but I guess not.

Anyway...I am so tired I feel a little sick...and I have to go to the hospital tomorrow for a procedure on my back. Say a little prayer for me so I can go back to sleep.

🙏🏻 🙏🏻 🙏🏻 I pray everything goes well and you get relief from your pain.

An overheated room when sleeping dries out my sinuses. The colder it is outside the more the heater comes on. Even though the thermostat is the very same temperature I seem to get too warm indoors when it’s really cold & windy outside. Also believe it is dehydrating and that’s not good for digestion.

@cherokeepatti You are definitely correct on the heat drying everything out. In the winter you really need a humidifier.

@Musicman I have one that’s out in the garage. It has to be on day and night for the air to stay moist enough not to dry my sinuses out. And when it’s real windy out in the cold temps my hands and lips get chapped, have to use more lotion because of it.

@cherokeepatti Yes you do. On those days the heat runs more often. That just makes things worse. ☹

@cherokeepatti THANK you!!! Especially for your good wishes re: pain relief! It will be 15 days, they say, before I notice any difference...so I am marking my calendar!

@4meAndyou Why 15 days??? That doesn't make sense.

@Musicman "Ours is not to reason why...ours is but to do or die!" 🤣🤣🤣

@4meAndyou Actually, the inflammation in your back after you have literally had nerves BURNED out takes a while to subside.

@4meAndyou That just sounds painful. 😢

@Musicman Yup. Pray that it's worth it!
