Woke up roasting at 2:30 a.m. It's 40F outside, and I had to open a window.

As usual, I blamed it on the neighbors. But just for sh!ts and giggles, I decided to check the heater in the living room. I had to move out the tv set, and my little portable light kept dying, but sure enough...the heater in the living room was on medium. I vaguely remember turning it on when temps went down to 22F, and I THOUGHT I turned it off again...but I guess not.

Anyway...I am so tired I feel a little sick...and I have to go to the hospital tomorrow for a procedure on my back. Say a little prayer for me so I can go back to sleep.

I just looked thru the replies. I never heard of nerves being burned out of your back. I wouldn't mind having that done. I hope it all goes well and youll be feeling wonderful before you know it. 🤗🌷

@Blondily THANK you! The nerve burning thing is called Radio Wave Ablation, and you have to be really serious about getting rid of the pain to do it, because they make you go through TWO tests that are very similar to the procedure beforehand, AND they don't give you any pain medication for the tests.

For sciatica, insurance no longer covers radio wave ablation, but they do try to alleviate some of the pain by burning out the nerves that ARE covered by insurance.

Insurance NOW only covers full boat surgery for the sciatic nerve. They PIN the spine so that it doesn't catch on the nerve.

@4meAndyou Wow thats incredible what they can do nowadays. I wonder if they can do that for other back issues? It sounds very painful tho pinning the spine! 🫣

@Blondily It's surgery...so I would imagine recovery is a bit painful. And I wouldn't want them to surgically pin my spine anywhere, unless it was an absolute last resort.

@4meAndyou I guess if it works and helps you to be pain free its worth it!🤗

@Blondily Absolutely!
