Can someone please explain this to me 馃槶
whowasthatmaskedman70-79, M
@assemblingaknob As Italians would say "Thats amore"馃樂

@assemblingaknob A "moray" is a kind of eel. The eels in the pic are socializing, as opposed to what is meant by "social mores."

@DrWatson that joke is way too sophisticated
whowasthatmaskedman70-79, M
@pride49 If we have to stop and explain every sophisticated witticism to every American, we are going to be here a very long time..馃樂
pride4931-35, M
@whowasthatmaskedman just use less British slang 馃榿
whowasthatmaskedman70-79, M
@pride49 But thats the Americans used to speak before they took over and ran the place into the ground..馃樂
pride4931-35, M
@whowasthatmaskedman I've never heard the word amores once in my lifetime
whowasthatmaskedman70-79, M
@pride49 OK. Lets back up. "a Moray" is both a seagoing eel (as in the cartoon) and a value or habit popular in a group or society (hence the joke) . And "Amore" (pronounced "amoray") is Italian for love. As in the song, "Thats Amore" from the fifties..馃樂
pride4931-35, M
@whowasthatmaskedman never heard it as plural. I did actually get it then. A meh dad joke. ... Though, where is the connection to love in the joke?
whowasthatmaskedman70-79, M
@pride49 Only the secondary dad joke I made. I think the song was a hit for Dean Martin.馃樂

@whowasthatmaskedman ah okay xD !! 馃槶 definitely a dad joke!!!
DrWatson70-79, M
@whowasthatmaskedman Hey! I'm American, and I posted the joke! 馃槃
DrWatson70-79, M
@pride49 I think "amore" was simply a clue to think of the word "mores".
