I Have Legitimate Concerns About Islam And That's Not Bigotry

Al Taqiyya! The same tactics are being used now as they were centuries ago. Why? Because they worked!

David Wood is a bi-polar person, who found God, following a youth spent burglarizing homes, and an attempt to kill his own father with a hammer.

The reason there are violent passages in the Qur'an, as well as peaceful passages, is that it's just like every other religious book in the world: it is stitched up, by various people, over a long period of time, and all these religious books, are loaded with contradictions. If you read the Qur'an, you will see that it's all taken from the Old Testament, with an acknowledgment of Jesus as one of the Prophets of God, and of the people of the book (Jews and Christians), as protected under Islam, and an entire chapter on Mary, the mother of Jesus, as someone who must be honored by Muslims (among other things).

At about minute 5, David Wood, reveals himself, for the ignorant that is he is. He calls the Jews and Christians of Quraish and Mecca, non-Arab. Huh? They all belonged to the same race. They are all Arab. First came Judaism, and one of the tribes spread across Arabia. Then came Christianity, again, migrating over from another part of the Levant, and converted a bunch of other tribes to Christianity.

Muhammad formed an alliance with the two Jewish tribes, and when following the conquest of Medina, they all formed the constitution of Medina, governing co-existence. There were clashes at a later time, following political disagreements.

As to the issue Taqiyya, it started out as an echo of Peter's denial of Jesus, in the New Testament, as well as copying several parts of the OT, where passages were dedicated to how deceit and lying is legitimate, in order to collect information, and protect one's identity, to be used later to Jewish advantage. Not surprisingly, Nazis, and anti-semites, use the same logic, to say that Jews should never be trusted, because their holy book, allows them to practice lies and deceit. The New Testament, starts out by accepting the OT, and then it proceeds to contradict it when it comes to violence (except for some parts when Jesus discusses his Father's legions).

We're in the 21st century, and the last time Taqiyya was used, was in the late 15th century and 16th century, during the Inquisition, where both Jews and Muslims, used the same justification (one from the OT, and the other from the Qur'an, Hadith and Fuqh) to pretend to accept Christianity (or die or be deported), but still practice Judaism and Islam, behind closed doors.

When people hate, they will always be able to find some text, in some religious book, or reference, to support their bigotry and hate. David Wood is no different. Make sure you keep hammers away from him, if you're close enough.

The biggest flaw in religious books, is that they all start with one major lie: the blind belief in some invisible, all mighty man, somewhere out there, and they call him God.

If you want to believe, that's fine. I am all for religious freedom. When you start picking at other people's religion, because you think that your religious book is better, then you're disillusioned, because all three monotheistic religions, based on the OT, are works of fiction, done by multiple authors.

@berangere: Interesting. Yes, judging people with a mental illness, is not good, so, next time I notice someone doing it, I will yell at them.

Back to this guy. Note that I said that his current behavior: spending his time, feverishly concocting scenarios, where Muslims conspire to hide their true intentions, so they can gain the upper hand, may be one of the symptoms if his bipolar disorder.

Bipolar disorder, is a CHRONIC mental illness, as in, it does not get better, but it can be controlled by drugs.

It also has absolutely nothing to do with his criminal, nearly homicidal behavior. BPD is not related to criminality. A lot of very famous people have BPD, but they don't go around, trying to murder their parents, or break into homes and burglarize them.

The guy is a con man, who found a new con.

Notice that you did NOT address any of the issues I raised in my post, and instead, you're, once more, calling me an Islamic apologist.

I told you this before, and I will say it again: ever wonder why it does not take much of an effort to refute any of the propaganda that you put forth? hint: because it's pieced together by haters. So, if you think anything I posted is wrong, point to it.

All this other stuff you added: rapes in Sweden, economic refugees, are real problems, but what you're talking about Taqiyya here, and this is what I addressed.
the assimilation of Muslims into the non violent standards of the west has very often be put into question.
Right, by hatemongers. A US Army Captain, dies for his country, and to protect his men. The hatemongers are now questioning his motives and his family. What more do you want people?
he Christian and Jewish religions no longer practice atrocities in the name of their God.The Muslim religion still does!
No, the Muslims religion does not. Some people, who claim to be Muslim, commit murder, rape, etc. We invaded a country, specifically Iraq, because George Bush, was convinced that he was enacted by God to do so. Does that mean that Christianity commanded him to do so? You should pick up a biography on Bush, to understand that the only country, that invaded another country, inspired by religion, the name of that religion is Christianity.

Not that there aren't any crazy ass Muslims in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Iran, but when it comes to honor killings, India hold the record.

Northwest@ if someone has had a mental illness in the past does not negate what they have to say as lacking credibility.People do recover from mental illnesses.Judging people with mental illness this way shows a total lack of compassion and understanding, yes,David wood does admit to having broken into homes as a youth and having attempted to kill his own father with a hammer, but that does not mean he is still doing it now and that what he says has no merit whatsoever because of his past. You are obviously an Islam apologist, what you write confirms it beyond the shadow of a doubt and you will always find something to discredit those who disagree with your view of Islam. That does not change the fact that Islam is a great threat to the world and people need to wake up before it is too late, now of course you will deny and find some excuse to explain why the town of Malmo in Sweden is called the rape capital of Europe, you might even deny that 80% of refugees are economic refugees from several Muslim countries and mostly young males who have brought havoc in their wake.An apologist like you is so biased, that you will not look at what contradict your convictions, you will automatically deny or downplay what is now so obvious about Islam, that people are actually waking up to it and are finally informing themselves about "the religion of peace" and all its bare faced lies!

@berangere: What is it? another pointer to a video, that shows violent passages from the Qura'an? We would be here for the next decade, if I start posting violent passages from the OT. And, don't tell me that this is no longer practiced, as you're using religious text, so I will compare it to another religious text.

If ISLAM was at war with us, we would have 1.6B people fighting us, not trying to be co-exist for the most part.

Problems are caused by inequality, not religion. This is the core of the Pope's message. There is absolutely no difference, in criminal behavior (drugs, murder, rape, etc.) in "Christian" ghettos/public housing in the US, and that of Muslim ghettos/public housing in Europe.

@DuchessOfBullshit says:

"1.this isnt your post 2. i expressed my opinion and did not say anything about you in my initial comment. 3.you are a liar and a coward and a pinhead $. i asked you to stop talking to me but you cant help yourself.you are mentally ill. i feel sorry for you."

This is Bergangere's post, and I am replying, point by point, to what she's posting. You should read, observe and learn how that's done. Oh, yeah, it's not your post either, so cut the buloshit.

2. More bullshit. You did not contribute anything. You used a single, short sentence quip. More bullshit.

3. Prove it. Show a single reply, where I am lying. More bullshit on your part.

4. You asked me to stop? Who the hell died, and made you king of SW? If you don't like what I'm saying, then stop responding to it. It's laughable, when some jackass steps in, contributes just as many posts, and complain about the other guys' post. I'm sure you're too stupid to realize what that means. So far, other than this pissing contest with me, you've contributed absolutely NOTHING to berangeres' post.

Were you looking in the mirror, when you said "I feel sorry for you".
Northwest · M
@berangere: he is mixing and matching, and pointing to the same thing that's also part of the OT. It's called fearmongering. It's what Donald Trump is doing.

Even when Muslims die in defense of the US, hatemongers will still find a reason to doubt their loyalty.

Here are a couple of news items, about a guy who REALLY understands the Qur'an (yes, he knows more about it, than Muslim scholars):

I was thinking I remembered something about the whole preaching the name of god and converting people from the old testament in the Christian bible. That being there, wouldn't that be a tactic that all three of those major religions could use?

Also, let's not forget the violent Catholics and violent Protestants in Great Britain. Violence is all around us and the cause for it is whatever people want to use.

It doesn't matter what a person's religion is. If they worship the flying spaghetti monster, fine. Just don't break the laws of the land or hurt others in general.

Now, if we take the religious books to have meaning, what of the story of Lot and trying to find one person in Sodom and Gemora who was not evil? His god would not have sent the angels down to commit genocide if there was one. Wouldn't followers of the bible have to take this into account if there is at least one Muslim who is not evil?

- Sorry about misspellings and inaccuracies. But the meaning of what I'm trying to say is in there.

Northwest@ I am not vilifying an entire people, this is the way you choose to see it,because we have different views on the subject. It appears that we simply do not know how many Muslims living peacefully in western countries including America are leaning towards extremist views as dictated by the Koran,as "a true Muslim' will follow the words of Mohamed to the letter. And as those instructions were written after the more peaceful verses in the Koran they are the one that are being followed and those later verses are the violent ones as written by the warlord Mohamed.I also believe that the truly peaceful Muslims and there certainly are some, are in fear for their lives if they openly disagree with those verses or even speak out openly against them, they fear for their lives and their loved ones lives.Usually Ex Muslims who speak up against Islam have to do it anonymously or they need 24/7 protection. That does makes me wonder if the "tiny minority" is so TINY after all.
berangere · 80-89, F
DuchesseOfMapleSyrup@ Speak your mind don't be intimidated.Lots of people have left this forum and other debates about islam because they felt intimidated. This is how apologists operate.
berangere · 80-89, F
froggtongue@ I believe he is very reputable and very well informed.Just look at Islam's history of conquest in the world, it follows the same patterns.Look up "why we fear Islam" on YouTube.
Northwest · M
@berangere: if you know about bipolar disorder, then why are you tying it to his criminal behavior, or say that he can recover from it?

1. BPD does not cause someone to break into homes and steal things, nor does it make someone try to kill their father. There could be up to 50% increase in violent behavior, during a manic episode, but only if the patient has been exposed to childhood violent trauma, not evident in his case, and leaves the theft stuff unaccounted for.

2. You cannot recover from it, but you can manage it.

My mother had it, and one of my nannies had it, so I know a couple of things about it.
berangere · 80-89, F
DuchessOfMapleSyrup@ if that remark was aimed at me may I point out that I have insulted no one and have not called anyone petty names, except "apologist" which I do not consider an insult nor a petty name. But I have been called a BIGOT countless times,an Islamophobe,a racist and a BLOODY BITCH!(this not by Northwest I must admit) he has always been reasonably polite with me) a lady who has since left the forum was called even worse names than that,so tell me where the problem lie?
berangere · 80-89, F
Nortwest@ of course the pope would say that! he would not dare say anything else.

https://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=6&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwi80pCW16HOAhWBq5QKHQoQB0gQFgg0MAU&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.skynews.com.au%2Fnews%2Fworld%2Feurope%2F2016%2F07%2F29%2Fpope-tells-poles-to-welcome-refugees.html&usg=AFQjCNGcFutiWl4cYcFaIwouMF-3LxfdFA&sig2=BQ9p06foJvM9pajPz0t4Bg
All these religions have at least had violent tendencies. I could try to hold up an argument that all religious groups should be done away with because all have done bad things.

I, for one, am done with this conversation. It's not progressing anywhere. One should not speak for the whole of a group, especially if they don't belong to it.

Live and let live. Come at me with violence and I shall defend myself. Seek retribution if you are wronged, but be reasonable with it.
Northwest · M
@DuchessOfBullshit says: "seek therapy. you repeat what i say as if you need to convince yourself ,. stop talking to me you have nothing to say of use to any human."

Real rich, coming from someone who contributed absolutely nothing to this conversation. You reap what you sow, and it is what is: bullshit. I'll address you as a human, when you start acting like one. You come in and insult me, you don't get to decide what the response is going to be.
no berangere it was not aimed at you. it was aimed at the smack talking internet coward
Northwest · M
@DuchessOfBullshit says: "you are a small minded little angry man and you hide behind your keyboard and love the word bullshit. no intellect at all - just fascist anger"

You mean, you use something other than a keyboard here. So far, you have contributed nothing at all to this conversation, with the exception of your original insult. Now, you're whining, because you were called on it.
Northwest · M
@berangere: DuchessOfBullshit, thinks that he can come here, and insult, but then demand that he not be insulted back. He contributed absolutely NOTHING to the conversation, except for accusations of political correctness. Not everyone is motivated by political correctness, and this is definitely a critical issue for the Western world.
berangere · 80-89, F
Northwest@ When I said "recover from mental illness" I meant people being properly managed with medications can lead a normal life, hold a responsible job, form rewarding relationships and raise families.David Wood knows the Koran very well, I don't think he would have made this video if this was not so,he would not have gone out on a limb to make himself look a fool.
berangere · 80-89, F
Northwest@ the pope is regarded as a public relation ambassador by many,of course he would not condemn another religion right out.It is a political issue as well is following the tenets of his religion, but it does not mean that it is true or right!Do politicians always tell the truth? Has the catholic church always told the truth?
berangere · 80-89, F
froggtongue@ The difference between the christian religion and the Jewish religion is that they no longer practice the atrocities extremists and in some cases not so extremist Muslims still practice in their own Muslim countries and countries of adoption in the west, an ideology they try to spread world wide.
Northwest · M
@berangere: this Pope, is anything BUT a public relationship guy. He says it like it is, and he's not afraid to confront the issue head on.

He's smart enough to realize, that you cannot vilify an entire people, based on their religion, and the actions of a few.
Northwest · M
one who blindly adheres to the Pc rules of speech and thought. contrarians are those who argue for the sake of argueing and not for the sake of understanding
i am not intimidated by tools.
1.this isnt your post 2. i expressed my opinion and did not say anything about you in my initial comment. 3.you are a liar and a coward and a pinhead $. i asked you to stop talking to me but you cant help yourself.you are mentally ill. i feel sorry for you.
Northwest · M
@DuchessOfBullshit is crying, because someone called him on his bullshit. Did you intend PC contrarian, as a term of endearment? Do you have anything resmblig an intelligent argument? No, then your one liner is simple, bullshit.
Northwest · M
@berangere: yes, the FACT is, that it's a tiny minority. There are 1.6B Muslims around the world. ISIS/ISIL is only several thousand fighters.

BTW, it looks like the article you're trying to point to, is not there.
berangere · 80-89, F
Northwest@ So we should keep saying as the pope publicly averred that Muslim violence all over the world causing thousands of deaths are just the actions "a tiny minority" and have nothing to do with Islam?

@berangere claims that she's not vilifying an entire religion, but her words, betray her:
the Christian and Jewish religions no longer practice atrocities in the name of their God.The Muslim religion still does!
berangere · 80-89, F
froggtongue@ What I have written does not requite punctuation,it say it as it is.That the Christian and Jewish religions no longer practice atrocities in the name of their God.The Muslim religion still does!
Northwest · M
@berangere: what do you mean the Pope would not dare say anything else? Do you think he's under pressure to say it? What does it mean to be a Catholic?
Northwest · M
@DhuchessOfBullshit says
ou talk big on the internet mr. keyboard warrior.
I see, and you're using telepathy, not a keyboard to type? You are laughable.
one who blindly adheres to the Pc rules of speech and thought. contrarians are those who argue for the sake of argueing and not for the sake of understanding
@berangere, Okay, could you please put in some more punctuation in there so I can understand your meaning better?

Froggtongue@ the assimilation of Muslims into the non violent standards of the west has very often be put into question.
Okay. So what we should do is accept Muslims into our culture and assimilate them to the nonviolent standards that we hold here?
