Al Taqiyya! The same tactics are being used now as they were centuries ago. Why? Because they worked!

David Wood is a bi-polar person, who found God, following a youth spent burglarizing homes, and an attempt to kill his own father with a hammer.

The reason there are violent passages in the Qur'an, as well as peaceful passages, is that it's just like every other religious book in the world: it is stitched up, by various people, over a long period of time, and all these religious books, are loaded with contradictions. If you read the Qur'an, you will see that it's all taken from the Old Testament, with an acknowledgment of Jesus as one of the Prophets of God, and of the people of the book (Jews and Christians), as protected under Islam, and an entire chapter on Mary, the mother of Jesus, as someone who must be honored by Muslims (among other things).

At about minute 5, David Wood, reveals himself, for the ignorant that is he is. He calls the Jews and Christians of Quraish and Mecca, non-Arab. Huh? They all belonged to the same race. They are all Arab. First came Judaism, and one of the tribes spread across Arabia. Then came Christianity, again, migrating over from another part of the Levant, and converted a bunch of other tribes to Christianity.

Muhammad formed an alliance with the two Jewish tribes, and when following the conquest of Medina, they all formed the constitution of Medina, governing co-existence. There were clashes at a later time, following political disagreements.

As to the issue Taqiyya, it started out as an echo of Peter's denial of Jesus, in the New Testament, as well as copying several parts of the OT, where passages were dedicated to how deceit and lying is legitimate, in order to collect information, and protect one's identity, to be used later to Jewish advantage. Not surprisingly, Nazis, and anti-semites, use the same logic, to say that Jews should never be trusted, because their holy book, allows them to practice lies and deceit. The New Testament, starts out by accepting the OT, and then it proceeds to contradict it when it comes to violence (except for some parts when Jesus discusses his Father's legions).

We're in the 21st century, and the last time Taqiyya was used, was in the late 15th century and 16th century, during the Inquisition, where both Jews and Muslims, used the same justification (one from the OT, and the other from the Qur'an, Hadith and Fuqh) to pretend to accept Christianity (or die or be deported), but still practice Judaism and Islam, behind closed doors.

When people hate, they will always be able to find some text, in some religious book, or reference, to support their bigotry and hate. David Wood is no different. Make sure you keep hammers away from him, if you're close enough.

The biggest flaw in religious books, is that they all start with one major lie: the blind belief in some invisible, all mighty man, somewhere out there, and they call him God.

If you want to believe, that's fine. I am all for religious freedom. When you start picking at other people's religion, because you think that your religious book is better, then you're disillusioned, because all three monotheistic religions, based on the OT, are works of fiction, done by multiple authors.
