@berangere: if you know about bipolar disorder, then why are you tying it to his criminal behavior, or say that he can recover from it?

1. BPD does not cause someone to break into homes and steal things, nor does it make someone try to kill their father. There could be up to 50% increase in violent behavior, during a manic episode, but only if the patient has been exposed to childhood violent trauma, not evident in his case, and leaves the theft stuff unaccounted for.

2. You cannot recover from it, but you can manage it.

My mother had it, and one of my nannies had it, so I know a couple of things about it.
