@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout they only go up to Abraham on biblical prophets. After that they diverge.

It's why that whole line is called the "Abrahamic" beliefs.

They are all common up to Abraham.

I honestly don't know, because Muhammad did not die for the sins of the world. Further, he died, but he did not resurrect from the dead like Jesus. According to theBible, particularly Genesis 1:1,Godcreated the heavens and the Earth, speaking the universe into existence, forming the sky, land, oceans, plants, and animals over six days, establishing humanity, and declaring His creation good. Other scriptures, like Psalm 146 andIsaiah 45:18, reinforce that the Lord is the maker of the universe, implying purpose and order, rather than chaos.Jesus was so much more than a prophet. He came as Savior of the world and was appointed by God the Father, and approved only by Him, to be the Savior of this world. Muhammad never claimed to be God but a servant of God. The mark of a true prophet is that every single prophecy of his, comes true, 100%. While followers of Islam maintain that the vast majority of prophecies made by Muhammad, came true. That is still not 100%.

There's no ambiguity. The Quar'an states that Jesus was born of a virgin and as such, he's a prophet/messenger of God.

There's an entire section of the Qur'an dedicated to Mary (Surat Maryam). If you visit a shrine to Mary, you're likely to find as many Shiite pilgrims as you do Christian pilgrims.

Muslims also believe that on judgment day, Mohammad will join Jesus and some other prophets as God sits in judgment over people.

While the Qur'an believes both the old and new testaments, it also introduces some additional language to formalize "recruiting" into God's world as well as "family planning"."

Kind of like the Book of Mormon, which was found by a lizard or something in some field in New York, and was God's latest and greatest word.

If you have any questions on the latter, I'm sure the Mormon Church will be tickled pink you're interested.

@Northwest They should have a commercial where the little Geico lizard finds a book of car insurance in Central Park.

It's kind of like how the early Jews were polytheistic, but held Yahweh above all the other gods. They didn't say there weren't other gods, just that he was the best.

Wouldn’t it be like a comparison between Jesus and for example John the Baptist?
It's an oddball part of Islam. How can a prophet be so venerated when they are supposed to be basic old sinners like the rest of us? Well, if you were to dis, say, Isiah, to a Jew or a Christian, not only would you get to keep your head but no one's even going to call you a blasphemer
They claim that Mohammed is not simply a prophet, he is Allah's messenger.
The rest are only prophets

@BridgeOvertroubledWaters Hmm, interesting. I guess that is why they put him on a pedestal. Makes me wonder what "allah" said through Mohammad, I may have to read the Quran one day.
@Phaethon I agree. It's good to understand what the others think and believe in

It's a form of etho nationalism.. muhammad was an arab.. So arabs where bound to say muhammad was the greatest.. islam is essentially a arabic nationalist religion, delivered by a false prophet who never understood who The LORD Jesus was / is..

Supposedly his message was the more complete revelation and was not corrupted by his successors.
For the same reason Christians dont exalt Moses over Jesus
Phaethon · M
@TheDeathOCuHullainn Doesn't seem the same to me, Christians believe Jesus is the son of God and not just a prophet whereas Muslims technically see Jesus and Mohammad as both being prophets.
@Phaethon Fair point. Muslims think that Jesus was wrong in some of his teaching and Muhammed carries the final word of God
Phaethon · M
@TheDeathOCuHullainn I know that there were teachings and scriptures that were removed from the bible that were still preserved in some of the muslim nations, it makes me wonder what those teachings were. Maybe there is something in them that the writers of the bible didn't like and edited out.
