Help me understand.

Islam sees Jesus as essentially another prophet, correct? They also see Mohammad as a prophet, I think... so why do they exalt Mohammad above all other prophets?

They claim that Mohammed is not simply a prophet, he is Allah's messenger.

@BridgeOvertroubledWaters Hmm, interesting. I guess that is why they put him on a pedestal. Makes me wonder what "allah" said through Mohammad, I may have to read the Quran one day.
