@wrule there isn't a limitation on the number of marriages (as you can divorce and remarry in Islam) but the number of partners you can have at one time

Men have a limit of 4 at once (under certain conditions)
Women have a limit of 1

But the topic of polygyny in Islam is rare and usually most people end up in an easy monogamous relationship and keep one partner

@Diotrephes I'd be curious how a Jew would justify that as well.

The difference is that Americans can look back and say it's wrong that the age of consent was so low. Religious people can't do that with their holy texts because then they'd be saying their god was wrong.
