I`ve always called those sugar ants and yes they are a pain. Those commercial ant traps are useless.

@CleverGirl Yes, they need to be airtight and sealed as good as possible. Just make sure you don't break your nails trying to open those 🤬☠ containers!

place a couple corn chips in the sugar and pack a paper towel into the lid. The corn chips keep the sugar dry, and the compressed fibers along the edge of the jar are not as easy to get through.
