Wild deer are literally everywhere here. They are a constant road hazard in most areas.

@shakemeup I've been to a petting zoo with deer, and if their behavior there is any indication, they are attention whоres, but not skittish.

@shakemeup deer aren't actually native to NZ. No mammals are except a few species of bats (and dolphins if they count). Everything a mammal would do has been done here by birds and insects.

That is to say that we luckily avoid the problem of deer road hazards. Instead we get possums

@KiwiDan who the heck decided to throw a herd of deer on a ship and bring it to NZ? Must have been crazy as hell. I can't imagine what that must have been like. Lol.
