There you go.

I don’t where the meaning came from (for female person and anatomy). Cats scratch and bite ! - ok yeah women scratch and bite as well when fighting but they don’t fight very often in my experience, its just not their way. They avoid conflict by running very long determined wars of words and ideas and never give up so the first meaning doesn't apply to them either. Thats why I’ve found the best policy is to minimise the number of them I have in my life. I would just become the battlefield for conflicting views.

It's when they add the 's' and and 'u' and 'y' that they get people confused about what body part they refer to.
Degbeme · 70-79, M
So I`m not insulting women by saying this?
@Degbeme nope.. But people probably think that it is

It's pussy because it takes a pounding and can't pound back.

Anyone that means pusillanimous should spell it pusi to avoid confusion
@DarthInvader when you say Pusi or Pussy does it sound different?
DarthInvader · 36-40, M
@AbsolutelyFabulous The English language is replete with homophones. If your dad called you his little flower, you wouldn’t think he is calling you his little white powdery substance, because cultural usage makes the meaning clear. The same applies here, pusillanimous and pussy are nothing more than a happenstance of sound. The two words have nothing to do with each other. Pusillanimous has no cultural connection to the slang usage of pussy.

so it should really be that we call them a pusi
