I think pop ups and animated ads should be outlawed to be honest. Not even just because they are annoying.

Because it's a numbers game.
They are paying fractions of a cent per click. They don't need your click, or their clicks. They need a few of the hundreds of millions to click, and some will become actual sales.
And that's enough.

They just do every possible thing to create veils, distractions in our minds. Obscurities, as many as they can. They like us dumb. Who are they ? I guess, in the end of the day, it's us !

I haven't either, but that holiday cottage ad below is tempting 🤔

It's gotta be money laundering.

the worst of those web ads with the obtrusive banner that only disappears if you can clink the teeny tiny 'x' slightly hidden in the top right corner. if you're not accurate and don't hit the 'x' perfectly it takes you to a new tab advertising house cleaning products offering 50% discount if you share the ad with 5 of your online friends. look, i get it, these websites need money operate. but these kinds of ads don't to align with what i think is important and what i think is valuable, like 'Scrubby Bubbles' kitchen and bathroom cleaner now in lemon fresh scent 👍
