Most Americans are under-educated about the wider world. Outside of the more cosmopolitan cities, many people know very little of other countries. Their image of other cultures and nations comes from pop culture stereotypes which are wildly inaccurate and simplistic. I have found that the less educated people are, the more they think they know everything.

@badminton The same applies to British people, and many Europeans.
Is it not the reverse?

Because we are too accepting and we tolerate anything.😁
Crazychick · 36-40, F
@Northerner We tolerate most things, but not trolls.

@Northerner Best answer.

I don't think it's only we Britons, though there do seem a lot of Americans who despise Britain - and probably most of the rest of the world anyway.
"Trolls" are people who will attack anyone regardless of nationality, because they are unable to discuss anything in a rational, civilised manner and are terrified of ideas not their own, or people "different" in some way from themselves.
Why do they do it? No idea, other than like all bullies they love to cover their own weakness by attacking others.

Because Brits. get a reasonably balanced view from our education and news organizations.
That means we can call out b/s when Americans in particular try to use hate filled posts and then try and justify it as 'freedom of speech' when called out on it.
Oh and we don't pick and choose which bits of history we like and subsequently embellish for the next generation to be indoctrinated into.

Looking through your posts you seem to have an obsession about trolls. Ever thought its you that's the issue?
Crazychick · 36-40, F

@HotPizza71 You don't strike me as a troll, so you shouldn't include yourself as if you were one.
HotPizza71 · 51-55, M

@SomeMichGuy That's a good idea. I'll ask some of my friends if they can concoct such a substance. Lol :)

@Crazychick BTW, it's nice to have concerned foreigners try to genuinely engage with us about our political issues.
Thank you.
Thank you.
