Why one should never get shades vs. blinds for windows.

You're sitting there having pulled your trusty shade down for the night and five minutes later, BRRRUUPPPMMUUBAMMM!! THAT damn things goes shooting upward by itself like a damn rocket ship!!! That nearly gave me a freaking heart attack 😩 And that commences my thoughts of the night, Don't get shades for windows. Goodnight. 🪟😫😵‍💫🌜

I used to have blinds, the one with the string and the rod. You turn the rod to adjust the angle of the blinds, and you pull the string to pull them up, then pull the string to the side to lock it. But now I have one of those just pull down with your hand blind (which is the kind I think you are mentioning)

I've had that happen to me too and while I'm right in front of it 💀 I think it's something with the mechanism inside the roller bar at the top. Because I thought I had it set but closing my curtains accidentally brushed it and up it went like a rocket ship!

I have blinds in all the windows, angled to let light in and let me be naked too.

my dog tore mine up trying to look out the window .. i fixed them a few times but then just got curtains over them

We have shades at work but they are not opaque so some of the sunlight shines through them and reflects off my computer monitor. Ugh.
