I had an interesting thought this morning

On my way to work.

How much do we associate ourselves with our bodies?

As in, when you think about yourself, do you think of yourself in your physical terms? Your body shape and other identifying physical features?

Or do you think of yourself as something other than the physicl being you are?

When I reflected on this, I realized that I tend to think of myself as something other than my physical body. My body is just a part of me that I carry around, but is not who I actually am.

It's probably too early to be this esoteric and philosophical, but here i am.

Nothing wrong with a bit of early morning philosophy!

I'm unusually short and that aspect of my physical identity has always been central to my character. When I was a girl it determined the sports and activities I could participate in. As an adult it still seems to influence the way in which interact with me.

@SunshineGirl That makes sense. I'm fairly short as well, but I make up for it in personality lol I actually enjoy being short.
