There's just too much hateful behavior going on between people today... even between those who claim to care about each other. You know, everyone is going through something, even if you can't see it. Just be kind. That's all.
It’s a really sad indictment on society. For many it seems much easier to condemn, criticise and hate than encourage and support. Hypocrisy almost seems to be the norm. At the moment, with many empathy seems to be a dirty word.
Fortunately though, it’s not all doom and gloom. I like that you see the good in others, the value of care and kindness. Well done you.
@nowic2 Yes, sad, but it does seem that empathy is a bad word today. Division and hate is encouraged for even the smallest offense. I am just weary of it all. And thanks. I'm not perfect by any means, and I miss the mark sometimes, but I do try.
@LadyBronte I agree. I know we are all different but for me it’s much easier and genuine to be caring, kind and supportive than nasty and callous.
Don’t be harsh with yourself. We all miss the mark at times. The difference though is that when you do. As much as circumstances allow, you try to remedy it. It’s the mark of an altruistic person. Long may they live and overcome. All the best. 🙂🌻
@LadyBronte Right? I just think that people that spew anger are unhappy with their own life, which I can’t solve. And, if I could, I wouldn’t until they calm down.
Sometimes that hateful behavior is directed towards those who actively spread and profit from hatred. I do believe violence is wrong. So that's not the correct response at all. But what do we do when kindness towards the hateful only makes them more confident in their hatred?
Agreed .. too many want to pass moral judgements and get aggressive with their comments .. often from a case/perspective that doesn't come close to justifying the behavior
@Wiseacre Too many people have lost even the minimum of common courtesy...on social media and the real world both. Hate is never appropriate in my book. 🤷🏼♀
