I Get Along Well With Old People
Wisdom of the Ages:
I get along well with older people. Always have. I feel that it is essential for the younger generations to communicate with the older generations. They have wisdom. They have experience. They have the stories worth listening to.
I have enormous respect for older people. I believe we have a lot we can learn from them if we'd just be willing to listen. So I listen. I learn. Advice is free. after all.
There is one facet of life where I don't agree with old people however. That is in regards to morality. I am a person of low to no morality. That's just the way it is. But old people have very stringent moral beliefs. In this regard we do not see eye to eye. They have a strong moral code; passed down from one generation to the next. I have no place in my life for modern morality. So I discard it all. If that means that old people like me less, so be it.
