I Want to Make a Difference In the World

In the end i think meaning is subjective, and it's really about finding your meaning and your values. Having a lasting impact on the future does matter a great deal, and is worth pursuing, even if it's a very hard thing to do, for me at least :)

Its not so hard.. Remember the butterfly effect. Focus on those around you and make a difference where you can. Something as simple as raising a child right can be all it takes.

@whowasthatmaskedman I can see why'd you'd think that, it's not so much that really. i would like to leave the world in a better state if that makes sense, knowing that people will be able to accomplish more things and learn more in the future, having had an impact on that would be something worth pursuing.

@Axelerator Then acting locally is still your best option. But pick a cause and start a program that may outlive you.
@whowasthatmaskedman Evil travels by butterfly effect just as well, if not more effectively than good. First the majority would have to decide to live for a higher purpose than ownership and materialism. Another great depression is coming, when currency will have no value. The people who once made a living off of the work or money of others will perish as they have no goods or services to barter.

In each day we have opportunity to make small difference, how we interact, with kindness or judgements.

1. We can smile at strangers.
2. We can help old people shop, or clean their home.

To action a grand plan, to make a huge difference, one needs to be like Gandhi or Martin Luther King.

Or....begin at been at peace in yourself each day. Then you can let your inner peace, help those around you.

The inner is the outer, the Micro is the Macro...

@SoFine Nice Thank you!

@SoFine I agree with that, and have always preferred the aproach of being polite and generall nice towards people, fits me better.
I do think there are different types of changes to be made, that one is an idealistic one, which is one form of change for sure.
The only way to make a difference in the world is to end it.
@Axelerator I cannot even move to the next nearest city. Its too expensive and I cannot travel because of the severity of bone and spinal damage.

@Anonymartyr ah, i'm sorry to hear that, i hope you're able to get some more help over time.
@Axelerator Thats the focus of the change I hope to inspire. When we suffer, it is meant to turn our thinking towards others who are suffering the same circumstance. This is how one knows what God's will is concerning our individual purposes. He puts you in a situation and as faith leads you through it others can follow and learn from your actions and example.

It's important to live our best life! It's sometimes tricky to know what that is though! How are you going to do that?
Axelerator · 26-30, M
@Carazaa Good question, i'm still working out the way to get there, and what best would even mean, i'll let you know when i figure it out ;)

One person can make a HUGE change in this world, more than you can even imagine. I have seen it time and time again!

The biggest impact we can make is by loving people and by prayer. God tell us that With faith we can move mountains.
