I Am Straight

Growing up where I did, I swear if you said you were straight you were accused of being homophobic. Actually, no. I'm just very, VERY attracted to men. I can acknowledge when another woman is pretty, but I'm definitely into men. Especially one right now :) I may not agree with gay marriage or certain parts of that culture, but I'm not going to hate on them. They are people too and deserve to be treated as such. But do not think because I refuse to "experiment" or say I am straight and totally okay with it I am homophobic.

There is my rant on this subject....

Normal people are attracted to people fo the opposite sex. Homosexual is sick twisted psychosis.

No it is not. I am conservative Christian and thinking this way goes against how God would like us to treat our fellowman. I have been taught to love everyone, no matter how they look, act, live,or their sexuality. I, personally, do not think homosexuality is right. BUT I will not call it psychosis or tell homosexuals they are going to hell. It is not our place to pass judgement. It is our place to show love and compassion just as Christ would. I do not condone homosexuality, but I will be tolerant that there are people with opposing views. My expectation is that those people show the same tolerance towards me. Even if they don't, my attitude will not change.

You can be compassionate for the sick, the twisted, the psychotic, the immoral. Compassion doesn't make it normal.

Calling it sick, twisted, and psychotic doesn't make you compassionate.

Calling it sick, twisted, and psychotic does make you honest. And honest is moral in all the religions I am aware of.
