I Am Not Perfect
Far from it.
I have learned many things from my association from SW and Social Media in general. I read postings on topic that interest me, and skip ones that don't. I ask questions when I don't quite understand what the poster is saying/asking.
If I know the answer to a question someone else has posed or makes a statement that I know to be slightly wrong, I can offer an answer or correction with having my ears chewed off. Most people (and I'm not including the out-and-out trolls in the audience) on SW are respectful of others and thank you for your reply in some way - even if it's only some words.
I don't use "colorful" words when replying to someone I run into posting - my own or another's that I have formed an opinion on. First of all, it's not respectful (would you kiss your girlfriend/boyfriend or SO with a mouth like that?), and my vocabulary contains nicer words than those.Sure, I meet up with the ones who curse me out and tell me in a rude way to "get off my post." I just tell them "as you wish" and let it go at that. I'm not a prude, but neither do I want to be treated like anything less than a human being as most of us are.
Most of the posters on here are nice people. I'd be the first one in line to say that. I have been on Social Media long enough to consider most of the ones I have contacted my friends. We respond and share many things (online) together. I hope to continue for a good long time. My bucket list is nowhere near empty - yet.
