When men reply "not all men"

About the same as when white people say "but not all white people.."

When a man complains about women, I don't take offense because I know who I am. So when men are quick to jump to "not all men" it suggests to me that they are exactly the men being described.

Imo that person may have a guilty conscience and feels like they are being called out

People who get on other people’s cases for making generalizations are often the same ones who make blanket statements themselves while also criticizing political correctness, only to suddenly become all about being logical and PC when it’s convenient for them. For that, I just tell them to shut up.
