Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

The creation of anything of meaning and value is exclusionary by definition.

There are only a few ways to do something correctly, and an infinite number of ways to do something wrong.

All those wrong ways can tear down any progress toward a creation, however.

Convenient that the diversity crowd are always the tearing down crowd.

Absolute nonsense. All this shows is that you don't value beliefs and efforts to create a more inclusive society.

Incidentally, you were calling last week for polygamy to be tolerated and legalised. So DEI is convenient when it supports your own values?

@SunshineGirl "tolerated"? It is the natural state of all primates and mammals, and was the most common practice among the majority of human societies for thousands of years. It's the current mess that's being tolerated.

@SunshineGirl If you think that, I recommend you take the education degree I have. Ironically for you, I am the safeguarding lead of a whole state for an ambulance training and administration organization. It involves developing and administering DEI related principles across a whole state's functions in the best-regulated way, whilst also best regulated against the other responsibilities and values of the organizations.

Funny that I'm doing exactly what you say I should do whilst you tell me what I'm apparently doing. Remind me of your DEI related qualifications and experience, again.

@Therealsteve So what are the principles that you are implementing? Why do you feel the need to derogate the "diversity crowd" . . or anyone else for that matter?

I am a senior leader in a sector of the financial services industry that has traditionally been dominated by men (an imbalance of around 73:27) for no apparent reason other than a culture of rampant sexism used to exclude women from high paying jobs. I am a mentor to young women lookimg for advice and moral support in the early stages of their careers, and an advocate for safer workplaces.

Incidentally, few people in Europe had heard of "DEI" until Trump's acolytes tried telling us it is a bad idea. Now it is all the rage in the corporate sector 🙂
