Does it bother you when someone makes their entire identity based around one random interest they have?

No, at least I know where to go and who to ask if I'm interesting in a certain topic.

They probably do that because they don't really have an interesting personality, so that's what they latch onto. It's like some of the people here who seem to live, breathe, and eat politics and have nothing else to talk about.

No. Back in school I managed to endure a couple who spoke for 6 hours in a row every damn day of the week about Skyrim and I'm still here almost unharmed

Something a bit like what I see people posting on this site... a lot of it the same each day... politics, religion, how their lives are so awful, etc....

I think most people have more to them than just one random interest, but it's where they're at in life at the moment.
