Does it bother you when someone makes their entire identity based around one random interest they have?

There are a LOT of them here. They tend to wear the same hat and don't like anyone who doesn't look, sound, think or act like they do.

No, at least I know where to go and who to ask if I'm interesting in a certain topic.

Yeah but maybe that's just what they decide to show or share...

They probably do that because they don't really have an interesting personality, so that's what they latch onto. It's like some of the people here who seem to live, breathe, and eat politics and have nothing else to talk about.

@Bri89 The politics fanatics kinda always felt like trolls to me.

Something a bit like what I see people posting on this site... a lot of it the same each day... politics, religion, how their lives are so awful, etc....
I think most people have more to them than just one random interest, but it's where they're at in life at the moment.

No. Back in school I managed to endure a couple who spoke for 6 hours in a row every damn day of the week about Skyrim and I'm still here almost unharmed

It’s one dimensional, therefore making that person boring and uninteresting.

Yes.
For Christsake everybody - Find some other lame hobby besides politics.
