Tell me one interesting fact about your job that most people outside wouldn't know

I'll start first: most of the cakes you get from bakeries come in frozen and prepared. Even in really nice bakeries we get frozen bases to ensure consistency. The designs are always fresh and we put a lot of work in but most people expect a freshly baked sponge every time

It’s amazing to me how foolish people can be and think they can get away with it.

I’m a risk/loss, fraud, and arson investigator/consultant. People try to avoid me, never return calls or don’t show up to scheduled meetings.

Lie to me, hide things and coverups are just going to make me angry and then I am going to surveil your every move and find everything there is to find out and then you will surely be very upset when I take your business license, your ability to get insurance for seven years at any price.

It’s best not to poke investigator and make my job harder bc I could have been sympathetic had they acted in good faith with me.

@gdon39 I know people at my work in the HR department that are responsible of worker's compensation for not being able to work due to injury. Some people actually would post pictures of themselves water-skiing on Facebook when they were supposed to be too injured to work.

@JimboSaturn If people are that dumb, then they deserve to be cut off the work comps' teat.

I often wonder how much stress, anxiety and effort goes into these elaborate stories and @JimboSaturn ?

I’m telling you that these spurious claims, and that people work so hard to avoid me and the ridiculous efforts to cover up their lack of licensing, no insurance, accidents and more when more often than not (except arson) they would have only needed to fix the issues and be prepared for regular audits and Risk/loss evaluation with fines, reparations, higher expenses and temporary or permanent loss of business licenses coupled with difficulties obtaining insurance.

So senseless, nearly unheard of to get away with.

“Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive.” Sir Walter Scott from his poem “Marmion”.

Please excuse my rambling ways but it blows my mind how these business owners and their lackeys think they can elude me

@gdon39 To me, it seems it is more effort to lie and do all these things rather than just work and be honest lol

@gdon39 I hope you are not biased!

@Soph03 I carry no malice or bias. I don’t create issues, they do and I can’t unsee things or I can be sued and my errors and omissions insurance will be cancelled and I will be sued and out of business.
