Here comes the employees bitching to me about not receiving things on time 💢
It happens every single year around the holiday season: people ordering shit that they need asap, but they don't let me know ahead of time. I arrived at work to an email complaining about receiving an item yesterday afternoon when they see that it had been delivered in the morning and that they were hoping to get it as soon as it came in. But how in the hell was I supposed to know that?! The box didn't have a priority shipping label on it and no one from that department let me know ahead of time. I even checked my notes and emails to be sure.
I replied to them by telling them to please understand that USPS normally arrives mid-morning give or take and we can receive dozens of totes full of mail, in addition to anything we may get from UPS and FedEx, so it takes quite a bit of time to process everything. That if they have anything they'd like to get asap, to tell us ahead of time, otherwise all receivings are processed as time allows. This year, every department will get one professional reply just like that. If they whine to me about this shit a second time... they better not.
